PRESS RELEASE

The Polk City Development Corporation (PCDC), in conjunction with Koester Construction, held a Ground Breaking for the new Big Creek Pharmacy building in Polk City on April 1st. The site of the building is located at 419 West Bridge Road.  A reception following the groundbreaking was held at the Reising Sun.  The new building will consist of 3,000 square feet.  Big Creek Pharmacy will occupy 1,500 square feet and an un-named tenant will occupy 1,500 square feet.  The building is being constructed by Koester Construction.  Please see the pictures below.

The Polk City Development Corporation was formed to promote new business and retain existing businesses in Polk City. The mission of PCDC is “To encourage a proactive business environment that results in a diversified and balanced smart growth of Polk City’s economic base and improves the quality of life.”

Iowa Growth Investors, Incorporated (IGII)

The primary purpose of IGII is to create work and jobs!   Potential exists in central Iowa area relative to Polk City. This community is the final remaining central Iowa area for economic development and growth. IGII’s focus is to become a leader in leveraging business development in Polk City. IGII intends to analyze, select and place within the city the types of business which grow the job market, impact the economic base and provide Polk City with opportunities to grow and develop.

IGII will seek to acquire businesses through unique agreement strategies which allow for contribution, investment and consulting to those selected, while at the same time allowing ownership of the affiliates to remain unchanged. Over time we will position ourselves to buy into, invest in and assist with the growth of most any type of company from high-tech to industrial. We will constantly seek Good Ideas and Good Opportunities that create good paying jobs in Polk City.

Ideal candidates will be those that have a track record of attempting to grow their companies. Our objective will be to assist in bringing them up quickly, correctly and to bring their company to the Polk City area. IGII investment levels will be commensurate with the potential and provability of each selected company.      IGII intends to construct our corporate headquarters on Lot 2 of the Big Creek Technology Campus in Polk City.  Our plan is currently to construct our headquarters building during the initial phase. As the need arises and companies are selected and brought to Polk City, two additional build phases will be completed. We see this as a great opportunity for our company; we look forward to being a part of Polk City development and becoming a positive influence in the community and surrounding area.
