Community Profile

Polk City is a beautiful little community of 3000 wedged in an area experiencing tremendous growth. The city is surrounded by numerous recreational opportunities of trails, Saylorville Lake Marina, Tournament Club of Iowa, and Big Creek State Park. Polk City also has the only existing town square in Polk County.

The Polk City Development Corporation (PCDC) is a group of community leaders and business owners that have joined together to promote Polk City, provide support to existing businesses, and recruit new business to the city. PCDC has incorporated as a non-profit corporation to better enable the organization to accomplish its goals. The goal of PCDC is to grow Polk City in a manner that allows the community to retain its character.
