Blog: Papas Pizzeria

I have a guest blogger today as I am trying to work in business spotlights.  It is extremely important to Think Local when purchasing!  Today’s blogger is none other than Shawn Comer.

Papas Pizzeria was founded in February 1998. It is currently owned by Shawn Comer and his family. Shawn has over 30 years of experience in the pizza business and has used that experience to enhance the menu at Papas. Within the next month there will be some new items added to the menu such as a taco wrap, buffalo chicken wrap, fried pickles, bacon cheeseburger pizza, baked mac n cheese, meatza salad, chicken bacon ranch salad, fried raspberry cheesecake with chocolate and caramel and a rotating dessert from Three Chicks Bakery located next door. Papa’s is going to start selling t-shirts also.

Papa’s has done some interior updates in the last two years since the Comer family took over and there are more to come. In the near future there will be paint, decals, pictures, minor remodeling and some landscaping on the exterior.

The whole family plays a role in trying to maintain the quality of the establishment and look forward to serving you in the near and also distant future. They recently bought the building that Papas is in so they can make sure they will be there for a very long time. They also have some available space if anyone is looking to move or expand a current business or start a new one.

PCDC was established to encourage a proactive business environment that results in a diversified and balanced smart growth of Polk City’s economic base and improves the quality of life.

Blog Author: John Calhoun is the executive director of PCDC and a Polk City resident.
