Blog: The Reising Sun

I have a guest blogger today as I am trying to work in business spotlights.  It is extremely important to Think Local when purchasing!  Today’s blogger is none other than Judy Reising.

The Reising Sun Café is located on Polk City’s historic Town Square.  The café has been in operation since March 1, 2009.  Denise Bradfield and Judy Reising are the owners.  Judy oversees the daily operations.

The café has a wide range of products making it the perfect place to visit at any hour of the day.  In the mornings, breakfast and a full coffee bar make it a great place to read the paper and catch up with friends.  For lunch or dinner, homemade soups, sandwiches and salads are all available with a variety of baked goods to complete the meal.  There is a cozy lounge area with a TV as well as a beautiful park just across the street to relax and enjoy Reising Sun’s decadent Ashby’s ice cream.

The oBlog Picture.jpg1wners are passionate about providing a warm and welcoming environment and encourage the same attitude in all employees.  Over the past five years, the Reising Sun has grown to be an essential part of our community.  Saturday, March 1, 2014 the café will celebrate birthday number FIVE.

Swing by for a complimentary cinnamon roll and double punches on your drink punch card!  To learn more about The Reising Sun Café and all it has to offer, please visit the Facebook page.

PCDC was established to encourage a proactive business environment that results in a diversified and balanced smart growth of Polk City’s economic base and improves the quality of life.

Blog Author: John Calhoun is the executive director of PCDC and a Polk City resident.
