Celebrate Polk City
Plans are underway to hold a Two Day Polk City Community-wide Celebration on July 25 & 26, 2008. Representatives of many local community organizations have been meeting to plan this inaugural event.
The initial planning has been very productive. The name of this event is “Celebrate Polk City” “A City for Everyone”. This celebration will be sponsored by the Polk City Chamber of Commerce and Polk City Development Corporation. The event has the following goals:
- To promote Polk City to Central Iowa potential home owners
- To promote Polk City to potential businesses
- To promote Polk City business to potential customers
- To create a strong sense of community within Polk City
This celebration will feature some great entertainment with Des Moines bands Free Style and the Tony Valdez Large Band. If you are interested in helping plan this community event please contact: pcdc@mchsi.com
